Sebastian has moved to Falcon’s Keep running patrols when he and his squad have to save an ambassador and his caravan from the dark wolves north of the wall. Drawn into the man’s need to head to the capitol, the battle mage and his allies are drawn into the dangerous winter travel through the mountains and beyond.
When signs of the enemy being south of the wall are made known, Sebastian and his friends soon become embroiled in a battle for their lives.
Meanwhile, the king has decided to throw a grand tournament for wizards from around the world. Can a battle mage survive a battle on a wizard’s terms? Will he even survive to get to the capitol?
