It's the Pinecones' very first meet - and they're competing against the Atomic Amazons. That team is tough! It's a real challenge for all the gymnasts, especially Cindi. She'll have to perform a very difficult move on the uneven bars - the Eagle. It's not enough to do it right - she'll have to do it with a style all her own. Cindi wonders if she can meet the challenge, for herself and for the team.

Jodi has the chance to star in an important gymnastics demonstration. But if her schoolwork doesn't improve, she won't be allowed to perform. It seems so unfair! Jodi knows she's a good gymnast, but when it comes to school... she just feels dumb. She just can't do it! Can the rest of the team convince her not to give up?

Darlene finds it difficult to step out of her famous football player father's shadow.

Some things never change. Becky still loves to see the Pinecones lose. That's been happening a lot since Ti An joined the team. The former Atomic Amazon is a good gymnast, but she always messes up at meets What's really strange, though, is that one of the girls on the Atomic Amazon team always does exactly the same vault as Lauren. It's got to be more than a coincidence. Lauren thinks there's a spy in the gym.

Mum and Dad hardly seem to have time for anything else—they're even hinting that Lauren's too busy for gymnastics. It's just not fair! Will Lauren's parents make her give up gymnastics—and Patrick?

There's a new boy in the gym. Chris is a super athlete and he likes Darlene. All the girls know he' going to ask her out but Darlene says she doesn't like him. Does she really mean it? As it turns out, that's not what she means at all. Chris and Darlene are heading for their first date!

The whole team has read about Heidi Ferguson. But when Lauren met her she didn't seem too happy about being a celebrity. And now she's in the hospital - but why? She doesn't seem very sick. Lauren can't figure it out. Heidi has everything... she's famous... she's a world-class gymnast. What's wrong with her?

He's Dmitri Vickerskoff, the famous Hungarian gymnastics coach. Big feet, big mouth. big shot - big deal. Lauren isn't impressed. She doesn't like him giving orders in her gym where Patrick is her coach, and she doesn't like him calling her "little bug". Patrick is thrilled to have Dmitri helping out, and the other Pinecones like him, too - and it's really bugging Lauren!
