The sad thing is, when we felt our spacecraft falling apart after being hit, to a one, we thought: still better than life on Earth. Dying among the stars… there are worse ways to go. It’s not like any of us had anyone to go back home to, anyway. Rassan I rescued the tiny Earth woman. Plucked her nearly lifeless body from the vastness of space.
