When Dorrie is left home alone by the Big Witch, she decides to have a tea party with Gink. There is a knock on the door. Expecting Cook to arrive any minute, Dorrie opens the door. Instead of Cook, she finds the bad Blue Witch. Dorrie scours Cook’s magic cabinet, uses its contents to capture the Blue Witch and receives a gold cauldron for her efforts.

Dorrie has turned her talents to producing a play with the help of her cat, Gink. All goes well until Dorrie cuts up what she thinks is a piece of old cloth - but is really her mother's costume for a ball.

One day Dorrie, the little witch, wanted to have a picnic, but it was raining. "I guess I'll have to fix the weather," she told her cat, Gink. And up she climbed, high into the tower, to the secret room where her mother, the Big Witch, made magic. It was dark and spooky up there with bats flying all around. Then pink lightning zig-zagged all over the room, the wind whistled and blew and dark clouds began to gather. "Oh, oh!" said Dorrie, "something is going wrong." It certainly was. Outside the sun was shining, but inside the rain was pouring down. Dorrie had fixed the weather--and the Big Witch got home just in time! less

One day the Little Witch, Dorrie, who had a bad habit of meddling with her mother's magic, decided she would be good all day. But, as luck would have it, that was the very day Aunt Agra chose to come to visit. And though Dorrie tried and tried, she just couldn't please Aunt Agra with anything. "Look at her!" Aunt Agra said. "She hasn't touched her sandwich. She hasn't drunk her milk. And look at her face! During a storm, Dorrie gets glued out of her house by a protection spell, leaving her to take cover in an old house in the woods. There she encounters two bandits who have stolen Witchville's powerfully magical Blue Ruby.

On an errand to buy some eggs for the Big Witch's birthday cake, Dorrie runs into the mischievous Thinnever Vetch, who steals Dorrie's galosh. While the Egg Witch and the Big Witch are busy trying to figure out which of the hens might be laying money instead of eggs, Dorrie must try to stop Thinnever Vetch from playing dangerous tricks on them all.

When the red-eyed goblin peeps out of the laundry basket, Dorrie's mother predicts disaster. Dorrie offers to keep watch over the naughty creature -- but she soon discovers that it's not an easy job.

It was Halloween, and Dorrie was ready for her first flying lesson, but her mother said, "You're too young to fly. Maybe next year." The Big Witch was busy fixing a princess costume for Dorrie to wear to the Halloween Pageant for the Great Sorceress. But flying had more appeal for Dorrie than being a princess and learning to curtsy. If no one else would teach her, she just might have to teach herself. Dorrie's mother goes out to take part in a seance, accidentally leaving behind her instructions on how to summon spirits. Dorrie finds the spell and tries it out, unwittingly bringing a playful but mischievous ghost into the house.

Bad-tempered Old Irontoes is up to something at the Witchville Fair and only Dorrie suspects.

With the help of her cousin Cosmo, Dorrie, the little witch, thwarts the scheme of Giblett the Enchanter on the opening day of the Witchville Museum.

As all of Witchville is busy getting ready for the Witches' Ball, only Dorrie suspects that everyone's recent crabbiness has something to do with the nasty Pin Witch and the free hats and shawls she has been handing out.
