Reunions are the best and with Clay by my side again I feel like I can conquer the world. There’s hope for Shelter, a place in Jiva’s museum. Never mind what I had to promise Avery to get the deal. It’ll be worth it. I finally know what I want from life, from Daemon, from everything. I almost give in to the belief that things are gonna work out, but as if offended by my optimism, destiny decides to kick me in the teeth.
The world is unraveling and for the first time I’m not sure if I have the courage to do what needs to be done to stop it.
