This was not how this trip into the wild was supposed to go, with me now lost, separated from my friends, and practically blind. How on earth was I supposed to survive like this? Ever since the trials of high school, I’d been trying to come out of the shell I’d hidden from the world in. But this was not going to help me. In fact, the only ones who could help were the wild people of these mountains, led by their fearless and intimidating leader, Vulfu.
Despite their kindness and acceptance, I was still hoping to reconnect with my friends and inevitably, my life outside of the forest. Vulfu, however, seems to have other plans.
How can I escape from his world when I’m blind and completely helpless on my own? How can I say goodbye if Search and Rescue finds me first? How can I leave my old life? How could I abandon my new one and the raw, primal love from this caveman?
