He will he spare nothing to carry out his goal, but Jake, who has fallen in love with Roseanna, has plans of his own.
Roseanna Ravenna has hastily married the Yankee, Jake Sinclair, to protect the plantation, Pelicans Haven, from her uncle, Ben Ravenna. The wedding has provoked Ben’s anger and hatred for the Yankee. Roseanna fears what her uncle will do. She is aware he not only covets the plantation but also gold hidden by her father. Does the gold exist? Ben is confident it does and he must claim it as his own before his brother’s estate is settled and Jake Sinclair seizes the property and the gold for himself. Jake is in love with Roseanna but she is unaware of his emotions as she waits for her brother, Edward, to return from the war convinced his return will end the trouble with her uncle and secure the plantation once again. Will Roseanna lose the plantation for love?
