She’s had one mission on the books in, well, too long. Keeping an eye on her neighbor and her daughter. Why? Simple, her bosses are trying to figure out just how to use them against the men that they selected for a unique and elite team. Penelope Morgan though isn’t the sort to just do as she’s told. And when the opportunity arises, she’s ready to kick some ass. But a low down, dirty handed move sends her career into a bit of a tailspin and right into their path.

As part of the new team, Knights of Ares, James Ashton and Dieter Alder-Faust know a thing or two about getting out of tight spots. Having the very sexy agent foisted on their team to be the eyes and ears of the upper echelon of military brass though is something no one saw coming. But both these men know there’s more than one way to skin a cat or, in this case, distract a sexy as sin agent and make sure she’s playing for the right team. Their team.

It’s not all smooth sailing though, not with back door dealings going on within the military that is supposed to have their backs. When a threat is revealed there’s only one thing to do. Eliminate it. If only James and Dieter had known about it, before their woman went and got herself shot.

Down but not out they will make her understand that she’s more to them than just a mouth piece attached to their unit by the military brass. She’s important to them, personally and one way or another they’ll show her just how important. Oh the things a man has to do to make the woman in his life understand her value. It’s a tough gig, but these men are more than ready to take on this challenge.

Unfortunately their plans will have to be put on hold when a very real and imminent threat reveals itself and heads straight for their throats. An attack on their home, with innocents inside, is just the kind of move that proves to this entire team who they can and can’t trust. Someone will be paying for the transgression, with blood.

Bullets are flying, deals are being made and love is in the air. But will true love truly triumph over the evil heading their way? Only one way to find out.
