Three friends from our world woke up one day to find themselves in a realm of swords and sorcery. Granted new bodies with new lives and memories to match, they set out into the world to live out their fantasy-genre fantasies as wandering sellswords.

But it's been a few years... Now they're bored.

In this adventure, which the trio have tried desperately to avoid, an undead army has been unleashed upon the Realm of Shiloft by a rogue necromancer, and an encrypted counterspell in the friends' possession is the only way to halt the coming apocalypse. With only days until the zombified masses reach the first townships, the trio must venture deep into the wilds of the Mythrin Forest in search of the one person who can translate their counterspell and save the world.

They just have to convince themselves to get out of bed first.

THE OUTCASTS OF VAMPIRE FLATS is the first standalone entry in the Lore of the Reluctant series. Sword and sorcery in a high fantasy land where the adventurers are pretty much over it.
