Centuries earlier, the Star Seed Project secretly designed three Pandora Boxes: artificially intelligent space probes that would terraform a planet light years from Earth and populate it with life -- including human. Now civilizations have grown on the new world, with teeming millions, unaware that an evolutionary apocalypse is about to be unleashed upon them.
After centuries of star flight in suspended animation, Mattimeo Jackson, a teenager from Earth who had intended to colonize another planet with his family, arrived on the world that had come to be known as Ne'arth and found himself hailed as a Wizard whose coming was foretold in prophecy. It was not a good thing, for the creators of the planet's biosphere were intent on destroying him before he could disrupt their cosmic experiment.
Arcadia of Umbrick, aka 'Carrot,' aka 'The Good Witch of Britan,' the mutant native of Ne'arth whom he'd befriended, fought beside, and come to love, would aid him in his quest to free Ne'arth from its intended catastrophic fate.
Together they would encounter dragons, imperial agents, and beings that had only existed on Earth as fantasy and in nightmares. Their deadliest adversaries would be the witchlike Pandoras, and behind and above them, the most powerful of all the so-called witches of Ne'arth.
