Gavin Murphy is having a terrible day. The last six months haven’t been great, but today really takes the cake. After enduring months of verbal abuse and harassment at the hands of his manager and the other staff at the Corner Café, today is the day they finally got him. After showing up late for work, his manager only need one more infraction to be able to fire him, and he made sure that second one happened. When a waiter knocks into him and sends a tray full of smoothies launching at a man dressed in a fine suit, Gavin knows his days are numbered. When that customer explodes in a tirade of anger, Gavin is handed his notice and shown the door. What he doesn’t know yet is that his bad day is only going to get worse. That angry man covered in a smoothie, is going to save him, but only if he can find a way to get Gavin to forgive his bad temper. In spite of himself, Gavin finds himself falling for the man, Ellis Cole. The man is everything Gavin is not and seems to hold the answer to all of Gavin’s problems. Will Gavin give in and let himself feel? Will he let Ellis atone and love him? He needs to surrender to the handsome stranger to find his forever.

Ellis Cole, still brooding over the attack on the Hadden Coven garage, needed to get some air and clear his head. When his friends suggest coffee at the Corner Café, he has no idea that his life is about to tilt on its axis. He doesn’t realize immediately that the clumsy waiter is his beloved, or that the waiter isn’t actually clumsy, but the target of unending harassment. When he finds the man later, needing to account for his behavior, he is floored to find out that Gavin Murphy is his beloved and he is sickened at how he acted. Now, he must find a way to make up for his actions and piece back together the life he played a major role in unraveling. Can he get Gavin Murphy to trust his intent? Can he get the young man to let go of his past and surrender to Ellis’ loving arms?
