Monroe fell hard for Montgomery when they met during the Forth of July celebration this past summer. For once he was reckless and spontaneous with little thought to what might happen, and he thought those feelings might be returned... until Montgomery revealed that he was a private investigator hired to find Monroe's best friend. Suddenly, it became very clear why an alpha like Montgomery would give an uptight omega like him a chance. He was using him to get to his friend.

When Montgomery met the beautiful but tense omega while looking for a man his boss had paid him to find, he fell fast, and he fell hard. There was just something about the guy that called to a dormant piece of himself that he didn't even know existed. One night of absolute bliss, a strange happening in bed and a broken condom later, and Montgomery was convinced that Monroe is the only man for him. Unfortunately, Monroe's best friend just happened to be the man Montgomery was hunting. He had to come clean about his business there for the sake of everyone... and lost Monroe's trust in the process.

After handling everything back home, Montgomery returns to Vale Valley in hopes of making everything right with his precious omega. Even going as far as moving in next door to him, but Monroe is a stubborn guy, even if he can't help engaging with Montgomery every single time they see each other. When it's accidentally revealed that Monroe is pregnant, Monroe insists that the baby isn't his, and was actually conceived the week before their encounter, but Montgomery distinctly remembers the nervousness of a man who claimed to be a virgin that night. So either Monroe was lying then, or he's lying now. Either way, Montgomery just wants Monroe in his life, even if it means just being a friendly, helpful neighbor who brings him meals to make sure he's eating right and hangs his Christmas lights and hides his ladder so he doesn't break his neck. If that means he has to live the rest of his life loving a man who will never love him back, then he'll just have to take what he can get. Vale Valley let him through its borders for a reason, and maybe being Monroe's neighbor was it.

Neighboring His Everything is book number 13 in the popular multi-author MM Romance series about a magical town that appears only to those who need a little love and acceptance. It features Monroe and Montgomery first introduced in J. D.'s Vale Valley Summer book: Forging a Family. As always, low in angst and high in fluff and funny with an HEA because everyone deserves a happy ending.
