Intrigued by the new human inventions, the gargoyle Tristan inadvertently strikes up a conversation with a woman named Guinevere over an online message board. He knows he should not, knows it may be dangerous, but he cannot help himself. But in his quest to continue communicating with her, he accidentally manages to kidnap a young woman called Gwen.

Gwen’s main concern is taking care of her mother while dodging her loathsome ex-boyfriend and worrying over the return of her errant father. But perhaps there is room in her life for a gargoyle…
