A mixed bag of entertaining and surreal 1970's "cutting edge" science fiction where experimental and witty innovation occasionally trumps storytelling. Harison is best known for his character the Stainless Steel Rat (1961) and for his novel Make Room! Make Room! (1966). The latter was the rough basis for the motion picture Soylent Green (1973) starring Charlton Heston.
