This graphic novel, from independent US comic "Spawn", tells of Al Simmons who has been to hell and back - literally. After his violent death he descended into one of the infernal netherworlds, but five years on he finds himself alive once more - with demonic powers.

As his fragmented psyche starts to mend, so vital pieces start to fall into place for murdered ex-government agent Al Simmons. Too bad, then, that the cyborg murder-machine code-named Overtkill has been hired to see that Simmons goes straight back to hell - one piece at a time.

Todd McFarlane created Spawn in 1992 after becoming an internationally renowned artist at Marvel Comics working on characters such as Spider-Man and The Hulk.
