Aicha Kandicha by Soraya Bouazzaoui
Aicha Kandicha tells the tale of Morocco’s warrior goddess—a story of female rage and lesser known myths.

Aicha Kandicha has historically been depicted as a succubus who wanders Morocco’s roads, sewers and shorelines, enchanting men before sending them to their death. Children are raised on the cautionary tale that if they did not behave, Aicha would seek them in the night. She was woman who possessed a beauty too painful to behold, and the hooves of a camel beneath her skirts.
