When the Doves Cried by Kieran Dimitri
1863: Two Gods are caught in the crossfire of the American Civil War after being shunned from their homeland following decades of being outcasts. Alone and having no one but each other to soothe their minds, they attempt to alter history to end the bloodshed and soldier’s suffering, forging paths for themselves in soil that they were never meant to stand upon. As they pen new chapters in the history books, fate inevitably catches up with them and soon, so does death.

1915: Given another chance to write themselves into the narrative, two men emerge. Torn away from their homes and serving on the frontlines of World War One, the pair find themselves drawn to one another after each suffers an immense lose. With no memory of their history together, they attempt to hold onto one another as the war takes its toll and hope runs thin. Grief, however, can be lethal, and war knows no mercy.

Our dearest friendships can become our biggest tragedies, and memories can cause be our greatest undoing.
