It was supposed to be one final job. Kidnap someone important and ransom him off so we can finally leave the city and make new lives for ourselves. It was my brother’s plan. It was meant to be simple.
…and then I find out the man we’re kidnapping is Silus McLean, a mafia boss who runs half the city. If this thing blows up in our faces, it’ll be biblical.
But it’s too late to turn back. Silus’s days are numbered. I just wish the mafia boss in question didn’t make my heart skip a beat.

The last place I expect to find myself is in the care of two strangers who say they want to sell me to my enemy. While I may be used to certain situations, I can honestly say this one is new.
One of my kidnappers just so happens to be a girl I can’t take my eyes off of. Something about her intrigues me, and I need to know more.
If Thea and her brother think they’ll get away with this, they have another thing coming. I’ll escape, and when I do, I’ll take Thea with me for a little payback. The girl is mine and she doesn’t even know it.
But she will.
