文化祭が終わった後、城廻めぐりから来た依頼は、「体育祭を盛り上げたい」というもの。
奉仕部として手伝うことになった八幡や雪乃たちだが、そもそも体育祭実行委員長も決まっていない。
そこで担ぎ上げられたのは、文化祭でも実行委員長を務めた、あの相模南だった……。
TVアニメシリーズで著者自らが脚本を手がけた番外編「だから、彼らの祭りは終わらない」のサイドストーリーを文庫本用にディレクターズカットし、再構成した総集編として修正。同時発売されたドラマCD特装版で音声収録された9巻直後のクリスマスパーティーのエピソードの小説版も加えて収録。
