It was only supposed to be one-hot-night in Vegas with a total stranger. We even agreed not to exchange names or occupations. So how in the hell did I end up in Seattle standing on the front stoop of his mansion as the new live-in nanny two weeks later?

Well, turns out Karma works quick because I stole something that night off the sexy stranger's nightstand before I snuck out of his room without saying goodbye and now, I'm going to pay for it.

I never steal! I'm practically an honorary Eagle Scout but he said it was his lucky charm and as of lately, my life has seemed void of any luck for quite some time. But now with his ruggedly handsome face sporting a brutal scowl that's usually reserved for his opponents on the ice, I think I'm going to need that lucky charm to do it's magic.

I'd happily turn right around and walk back down the driveway but unfortunately... I need this job to buy me a little more time after completing draining my savings to avoid my ex-fiancé and his new girlfriend.

Kaenan only needs help until the end of the hockey season and then I'll head back to face the music and return to my old life in Colorado...
