Maurice is a lone wolf. Rejected, half-feral at full moon. Unable to control himself when he goes into heat.
That's not what scares me.
Even as a beast, he's a very good boy. All that need gets channeled into pleasing me. You see, we've met one night a year ago when I ran from the way he looked at me as if I was his whole world. As if he was mine.
He can't be mine. Because if he was, he'd be in danger too.
When he begs me to see him through just one more full moon, my heart gets the better of me and I give in. Snowed in at his cabin in the woods, I'm finding out just how hard it is to resist his relentless optimism, his goofy charm and his huge knot.
