For years my father has been receiving threats against our safety urging him to abandon his various political interests. I just never thought one of the psychos would actually follow through.
After the first attempt on my life, my father hires former Marine operator, Killian “Kill” Burke to ensure my safety. His appearance lives up to his reputation: scarred, unsmiling, and ripped.
Killian’s no-nonsense attitude rubs me the wrong way from day one, but I relent to his protection for my dad’s sake.
As the threats increase, Killian convinces my father to take me to our cabin in the mountains until the person threatening me can be apprehended.
The last thing I want to do is be cooped up alone with the arrogant, irresistible Marine, but even I am starting to fear for my life.
