As one of the top real estate brokers in New York City, I don't have much time for women — or weather events. But with a freak storm barreling towards the city, I'm stuck in my penthouse with no power, and no work to keep me occupied. Great.
Then she tumbles into my life. Charlotte Cross — Charlie — a fledgling television reporter and royal pain in my @ss. Now, not only am I stuck in my penthouse, I'm stuck here with her. Even better.
Except, maybe it's the candlelight or the rain whipping around outside or the lightning streaking through the sky, but something about Charlie stirs a part of me I didn't even know existed.
But no one falls in love in two days. That's just crazy.
So why am I suddenly hoping that the power never comes back on?
