Miss Imogen Warkworth’s situation is getting worse. Being handsome, wealthy and titled, he has his pick of suitable brides, so she doesn’t understand why he’s offering for her. The offer, however, saves her family from utter ruin, and the terms are acceptable—a marriage in name only. She is to live in his country house and given the means to secure a husband for her sister, but he’ll have little to do with her otherwise.
However, the marriage will turn out much more complicated that she ever imagines. Nothing about Lord Rosemarche is simple, and reconciling their differences is a torturous affair.
