Playing To Win: My Most Valuable Player by Demettrea, A'zayler
Since as far back as they could remember it had always been India and Storm. Best friends since grade school and the confident, successful duo that needed no one other than each other. They’d lived life and been through every trial and negative situation possible with each other, so when India finds Josiah it’s a life altering change for both girls.
Josiah, a professional football player for the Atlanta Falcons, is on top of the world. He’s living his dream, making money, and juggling enough women for everyday of the week. However all of that means nothing since he’s ready for the real thing. A wife, some kids, a family. Everything that India is prepared to offer.
Being a match made in Heaven, the two of them hit it off immediately. As always the beginning is bliss but the moment the past catches wind of the new found happiness, all hell breaks loose. Is India really the woman Josiah bargained for? Or is she the perfect person to ruin everything he’s worked for?
Though Storm is knocked off guard by the blooming love affair between India and Josiah, she’s not too far behind. Rio, Josiah’s teammate and best friend, has no problem making sure she feels the love and attention she’s accustomed to getting.
He becomes so quickly infatuated with Storm that their relationship not only blooms, but outgrows Josiah and India’s. Love at first site would be the perfect slogan to describe the feelings that Rio has for her, and though the love blossoms fast, it’s real.
Because he’s a pro baller and a prominent figure in the city, Rio and Storm’s relationship is put to the test a lot faster than they’d anticipated. Groupie women, and mischievous men have been ignored as hard as possible, but when a sleazy skeleton escapes from Storm’s closet, what is Rio to do? Should he continue trusting Storm and look past the things that’s happening? Or should he cut his losses now and find another woman to be the MVP of his team?
