Modern clusters are built online. How romantic is that? True love is only a click away! Maybe that works for some connectors, but since I knew what I was, I've always dreamed about doing it the old fashioned way- walking the territories and finding my intended mates in person.

My mother regaled me with stories from her territory walk and I always knew that if I could make it happen, I had to. Planning my own walk makes me feel closer to my mother and all these thoughts of sleeping under the stars and seeing new places is too tempting to turn down. Finding a mate from each territory, well that's part that makes me nervous.

Caden has always been the brother I never wanted, taking every chance he can to irritate me and be obnoxious. On the night before I'm supposed to head out for my journey, he insists I take him with me because he believes he's my mate- if that's true, then I guess the whole 'pulling your pigtails because I like you' thing is true. But he's been a total playboy as long as he was old enough to be- how do I turn that into a respectable mate?
