We were such good friends... until she married my ex-husband and I married hers.
For the sake of our families, we agree to get along, and, at first, it’s all very civilized. But then there’s a freak accident and I wake up in a hospital bed. As I take in my surroundings, a familiar and loving sight greets me – my darling husband.
For an instant, I feel safe. But as I gaze into his eyes, I begin to pale. Because while my memories are in their rightful slots, I can’t seem to locate my feelings.
My psychiatrist calls this “emotional amnesia”, but that’s not my only problem.
There’s the matter of my recurring nightmare-the one where I witness a murder, except my mind has inked out the killer’s face. Is it just a dream or a memory in disguise? And if I am the witness then who is the victim?
The only thing I know for certain is this: I can no longer trust anyone- not even myself.
