Splicer by Theo Cage
THE CIA CALLS THE SPLICER “A FRANKENSTEIN APP”

We all know that one day humans will invent something that we can no longer control. It’s in our DNA.

Nuclear energy comes close and still haunts us everyday. Clone research, recombinant technology and genetic modification is already out of control and holds more menace for human survival than thousands of nuclear warheads.

All the world needs now is desktop technology that can manipulate DNA in a matter of minutes. Need a new germ or virus? With a few clicks of a mouse, anyone can create a monster with the potential to kill millions.

The CIA calls this new invention the “Frankenstein app”. Because it is. And they are doing everything to stop it’s spread including the the planned assassination of one of America’s most famous billionaires, the man behind the DNA recombiner called the Splicer.

When the billionaire is found garroted in his rental car, the prime suspect is a company employee who quickly lawyers up with one of the cities top Criminal defenders, pugnacious and beautiful Janey McEwan. Little does she know that she will soon become embroiled in a battle between international interests, the CIA and her penniless client who she happens to be falling in love with.
