Embarrassing Noel in Another World (Embarrassing Myself in Another World Book 2) by L. Eschedor
With a powerful new ally at his side and a major victory under his belt, Mark is finally starting to feel like the type of hero he and Mu aspire to be. Unfortunately, Noel, a divine envoy of the god of the hunt and now Mark’s bound-for-life partner, is rather unsure about all of this. She’s all for adventuring and battling monsters, but she’s less than pleased about being torn away from her life of seclusion within her master’s realm, not to mention living in a supply closet with a beast lord and a very hands-on elf. Realizing this, Mark seizes upon the first opportunity to venture out of town with her.
The plan was simple: pay back a debt of gratitude by helping two of Fang’s Fall’s youngest hunters complete a beginner-appropriate quest. To do this, the team will have to venture into the defunct domain of the Wanderer, a god who previously reigned over the forest. Along the way, Mark struggles to reconcile his thrill-seeking and elf-rubbing ways with his desire to be respected by normal human beings, as well as with a growing sense of unease when faced with the strange threats lurking within the Wanderer’s home territory. What awaits him are a series of revelations regarding the world he has wandered into, as well as his place in it. To pursue the dream he shares with his companions, Mark will have to face a series of unfortunate truths which threaten the way he looks at the world around himself.
