Antonina Black, or just Nina, is a wise-mouthed but wounded girl. She is sent to live with her aunt in America. After leaving her homeland Russia, Nina tries to adjust to a new life with her homophobic cousins and American high school. But her life begins to take a strange new turn when an enigmatic girl shows up.

Allecra Knight is a gorgeous blonde mystery. She seems to bring both the sunshine and dark storm with her. Everything about the blonde fascinates Nina to the point that it terrifies her. There is a spark of something unusual between them, but it comes with an underlying cost.

Allecra Knight is something else—something not from this world. On top of that, she has a secret and a big one at that. Nina has to choose between living a normal peaceful existence and finding the courage to explore the unknown.
