Daniel has a burning passion for an online videogame, Hyperversum, which transports his fantasy back in history. In this virtual game he's learned to be the perfect man in the Middle Ages and knows all the tricks to get himself to the next level of the game.

Ian has a university degree and a doctorate in medieval history. He's become part of Daniel's family after ther death of his parents. He's recently returned to the States after a study abroad educational program in France, and goes to Daniel's house for a family dinner where they both immerse themselves into Hyperversum, their favorite childhood game.

They do not start the game alone. There are also: little Martin, Jodie (Daniel's girlfriend) and, Carl and Donna.

While they're living their virtual adventure, a storm hits them.
They are now in Flanders, where they find themselves in the midst of the war between England and France.

A new life is now set in front of them.
