The Silent Song by Toby Bennett
The old world is dying, humans that the fey once mocked as primitive savages have thrown back the older races and established dominion on the earth, but there is no retreat for the defeated. Even the small realm that they have managed to seal from humanity is chocked by the smoke and radiation leaking in from the world the fey left behind.

Few children are born and those that are rarely live past a sunrise. A desperate Sidhe queen sees that the only way to have a child is to mix her blood with the beasts that destroyed her people.

Her sister cannot stomach this betrayal of their ancient blood and so begins down a path that makes the final confrontation between the old world and the new almost inevitable.
