Eager to prove his mettle, Bigby, a young beagle-sheltie mix, joined the army with dreams of travel and adventure; instead, the pint-sized soldier is assigned to a rearward Supply company where the only action he sees are misfiled requisition forms and the occasional paper cut. Bigby's hopes are renewed when he transfers to Bravo Pack, Sergeant Rocko's band of misfit mutts tasked to the army's first post-war peacekeeping mission - Operation Stray Cat. But for Bigby and his new teammates, the operation goes horribly wrong when they stumble upon the lair of the war's most notorious enemy fighters, the Pride. Cut off from the rest of the world and vastly outnumbered, the dysfunctional dogs of Bravo Pack, their aloof translator, and the unlikeliest of allies – a mysterious homid unlike any of its kind on the planet – must somehow learn to work together if they have any hope of surviving.
