Blood Debt is a short novel of approximately 42,000 words. It is a substantially expanded and updated version of a 32,000 word novella of the same title that appeared in the 2009 anthology The Reckoning. This book also includes excerpts from two full-length Immortals novels: The Crossing and The Awakening by Joy Nash.

Blood Debt is a stand-alone story in the alternate universe setting of the Immortals series. The series includes ten titles by Joy Nash, Jennifer Ashley, and Robin T. Popp.
