A steampunk story about a poisonous world, ploughed by trucks similar to ships.

A land of venomous sands, studded with built-up areas made of paraphernalia, gears and pulleys. Evolving, inhabitants took care only to mechanics, developing carpentry as only skill. But they aren't yet able to command electricity, this is still a chimera. Titanic vehicles with a number of gears plough sands between cities, as big as ships, driven by dozens of people...
