K. A. Bedford was born in Fremantle Australia. He attended both Curtin and Murdoch University in Perth and studied Writing, Theatre, and Philosophy, before becoming ­actively involved in the Australian SF community. Orbital Burn is his first novel. He lives with his wife, Michelle, near Perth, Australia.
