The Curious Knighthood of Sir Pellimore by Mark Mitchell
Arthurian feel. Four clever brothers slay four terrific dragons. Very visual, action stories. In first, Pell is a farm boy dreaming of becoming a knight. He tricks the king into knighting him, but then sees the treacherous, jealous fellows most knights really are, and he must kill a dragon. Only Sir Antigon, by his good model, saves Pell.
