The second volume in a two volume collection of the fantasy prose of William Morris, widely said to have been a major influence on the work of JRR Tolkien and CS Lewis.

This second volume contains the following tales: The Story of the Glittering Plain, The Roots of the Mountains, The House of the Wolflings, The Water of the Wondrous Isles, The Story of the Unknown Church, Lindebond Pool, A Dream, Gertha's Lovers, Svend and his Brethren, Golden Wings, Frank's Sealed Letter, A King's Lesson, and the incomplete posthumously published The Folk of the Mountain Door. The volume also has an expansive glossary explaining many of the archaic terms used in the tales.
