"A very impressive read. I had trouble putting it down because, once again, Ashley Knight's descriptive writing takes you through the book as if you were watching a movie; you are able to see every scene and feel every emotion. I will certainly be paying more attention and looking around every tree the next time I visit a forest!"

"Who would ever dream that within days of embarking on a boring, summer vacation tucked up in a log cabin in a forest, the world we 'think' we know would be completely turned upside down. Ashley Knight is a master of her craft. From the first few opening pages, she swiftly and eloquently draws the reader into a magical, yet thoroughly modern world of fairy-tale fantasy. Much to this reader's relief, there are no Sleeping Beauties, down-trodden Cinders and Snow White's hanging around this forest waiting for their prince to come. Knights' protagonist, Lara, is not only beautiful, she is bold, fearless and innately single-minded when it comes to matters of love. This dark, moving tale of once and for all-lifetime passion and other-worldly intrigue definitely has more than a hint of Romeo and Juliet/Wuthering Heights about it. In parts, the author's descriptive narrative is simply stunning, her dry, subtle wit in the most trying of situations often made me laugh out loud. A wonderful read!"
