Ship of the Damned by James F. David
In 1943, a U.S. Navy ship was teleported but with disastrous results on its crew. Fifty years later, social worker Elizabeth Foxworth tries to help seven people who have the same recurring dream about a large ship with soldiers trapped inside the bulkheads. By depriving them of REM sleep, the dreams kill the dreamers. What the dreamers don't know is another vessel armed with nuclear weapons has disappeared.
